Bailer were from Denver, formed in 2001 and finished in 2009, which is an impressive run for an emo band. There are many lengthy gaps in their discography, and I'm not certain if those gaps represent releases I don't know about or if the band was simply a long-term, part time project. They played that distinctly 2000s brand of shouty post-hardcore/emo that hearkens back to the Dischord days, another member of the little-recognized emocore revival of the aughts, along with other bands like Life at These Speeds. They released a lot of their material on Ash From Sweat, the same label as fellow emo throwbacks Humble Ary.
Bailer's first two releases were in 2002, the Diffusion of Innovations EP, which is also labeled as a demo on Discogs, and a second EP called This Took Too Long. In 2004 they put out a split release with Humble Ary, followed a year later by the band's first and only full album, Sing It Like A Victim. The album has two slightly differing versions, with a CD release and a vinyl release; the vinyl version has an extra track and a subtly different mix. The band's last release was in 2009, a split tape with experimental noise project Windows.
